콜럼버스 한인 교회 동역자님께!

2003년에도 변함없이 저희 사랑의집 아이들과 사역을 위하여 중보해 주실 것을 기대하며 동역자님께 깊은 감사를 드립니다.

**금년에는 이런 일을 하려고 합니다**

1. 아이들을 사역자로 헌신케 하는 일을 시작하려고 합니다.
사랑의집에서 10년 동안 함께 생활해 온 청년들이 몇 있는데, 다른
사람들보다 현장 감각이 뛰어나고 신분상에 문제가 없어서 사랑의집 사역자로 적합하다는 생각을 하게 되었습니다. 아직 구체적인 실천 방안은 없지만, 사랑의집 울타리에서 자라난 아이들을 향하신 그 분의 계획하심이 있는 듯하여 시작해 보려고 합니다. 기도와 함께 구체적이고 실제적인 방법들을 알려 주시면 좋겠습니다.

2. 주은혜무료진료소를 7월 12일(주은혜어린이 4번째 생일)에 문을 열고자
합니다.
2000년 봄에 시작 된 진료소 건물이 그동안 현장에서 땀 흘려 수고해 주신
많은 봉사자들과 기도의 사람들, 그리고 귀한 물질로 함께해 주신 많은 분들의 참여로 1천2백평(3천 6백 평방미터)의 건물이 마무리 공사를 진행하고 있습니다. 예정대로 문을 열 수 있도록 기도해 주십시오.

3. 중보사역 선교사로 참여할 수 있는 동역자들을 세워나가는 일을 하겠습니다.

**미국에서의 일들**

김 학원 원장이 많은 분들의 도우심으로 미국과 카나다 일정을 잘 마쳤습니다. 사랑의집, 신애의집, 은혜의집, 섬김의집에서 사역할 사람을 찾는 일과
중보사역 선교사를 찾는 일로 여러 도시들을 방문하였습니다. 기도로,
시간으로, 물질로 수고해 주신 모든 분 들에게 깊은 감사를 드립니다.

일정이 좀 길긴 하였지만, "사역자는 사역지에서 현장을 떠나지 않고 사역만
할 수 있었으면 좋겠다"고 미국을 떠나 중국 연길사랑의집 사역지로 향하는
원장님의 모습 너무 아름다웠습니다. 일할 지난해 수 있는 사람과 물질이
계속 공급 되어짐으로, 현장을 떠나지 않겠다는 원장님의 작은 소망이
이루어지길 바라는 마음 간절합니다.

**현장에 온 자매**

12월 전미경자매(37세)가 사랑의집에 장기 사역자로 헌신하여 왔습니다.
한국에서 10여년 간 사회복지 시설에서 낮은 자들을 섬기는 일을 해 왔는데,
선교지를 찾던 중에 사랑의집에 헌신하게 되었습니다.

**문서와 영상물로 사역을 돕는 손길**

사랑의집이 10년 동안 운영되어 오면서 아무런 홍보자료가 없어서 가끔 자료를 원하는 사람들에게 죄송스럽게 생각했는데, 이억희 권사님과 이경원 집사님이 수고해 주셔서 4페이지 분량의 작은 홍보물을 처음으로 만들게 되었습니다. 두 분께 감사를 드립니다.
사랑의집을 알리는 자료가 하나 더 만들어 졌습니다. 최원덕 전도사님의 수고로 15분 정도 분량의 영상 자료를 만들게 되었습니다. 그 동안 진행되어 온 사랑의집 현장의 모습과, 사역을 설명하는 김학원 원장의 인터뷰가 담긴  영상자료도 잘 활용해 주십시오.

**창틀에 이름을...**

주은혜무료진료소가 금년 7월 완공을 앞두고 마무리 공사가 진행되고 있습니다. 건물에 창틀을 제공키로 하였던 모 회사가 운영상의 문제로 창틀제작을 하지 못하게 되었습니다. 이에 동역자님들과 교회의 참여를 부탁 드립니다. 창틀 1개 당 1백50불입니다. 참여하는 사람들이나 단체의 이름을 창틀에
새겨서 귀한 뜻을 기념하고 기도의 흔적을 남기려고 합니다. 진료소 건물의 창틀은 모두 300개 입니다.

**하나님의 사람들이 함께 만들어가는 하나님의 사역터...**

사랑의집이 지난 10년을 돌아보며 하나님께 감사와 영광을 돌립니다. 후원이사회가 없이 여러 방면의 사람들이 함께 만들어가는 사랑의집이 앞으로도 더 많은 하나님의 사람들이 함께 뜻을 같이 할 수 있기를 기대합니다.

물질을 보내는 사람.
현장에 달려가서 몸으로 봉사하는 사람.
필요한 물품을 보내거나 짊어지고 가는 사람.
중보기도로 늘 마음을 같이하는 사람.
모두가 소중한 사람들입니다.

To our dear co-workers

We send our deepest gratitude for your support and prayers for all the children at the House of Sarang and the ministry involved. We hope you be able to continue to do so in the year 2003.

**We are planning these tasks for this year**

1. We are trying to start getting the children involved in our work.
There are few children, now young adults, who has been with us for about 10 years now and they have better sensitivity and better understanding of what have been done than anyone else. They have no issues with their identities with the government and we've thought they could be the most appropriate for working as co-workers on the site. We do not have detailed plans yet, but we do believe that God had a special plan for them to be raised here and we want to pursue their calling in this ministry.

2. We are hoping to start the Choo-Eun-Hye Free Medical Clinic this
coming July 12th (4th birthday of Choo-Eun-Hye). It is the effort of
volunteer workers since the spring of 2000 that made this possible. It
was their sweet sweat they've worked off at the construction site as
well as those who provided resources through the years that made this building. (size of 3600m2) Now we are in the phase of completion and we ask for your prayers so that we could get this clinic going on time.

3. We will continue our search for the intercession co-workers for the
House of Sarang.

**Visit to US**

Our director, Rev. Hak Won Kim, was able to travel around US and Canada with the help of many people.
He was visiting to find co-workers who would fill their roles in various
parts of the House of Sarang such as Sinae House, Eun Hye House, Sum Kim House, and also those who could support as intercessory prayer co-workers. We would like to thank all those who helped his travel possible with their time, prayers, and resources.

It was a long schedule and as he was leaving for the House of Sarang, director Kim told me and many people that, as hope I, as a missionary, could only stay at my place where I should be and not have to leave the place for any reason whatsoever. We thought that was beautiful and right. Our only hope is to see all the personnel provided and the resources are filled, so that he could stay where he wants and where he should be. His hope can be made possible

**Sister at the site**

Last December, the House of Sarang greeted MiKyung Chun who has devoted herself to work as a long-term mission worker. She served in various parts of social work in Korea for more than 10 years and when she was searching for a mission field, she found us and came to us.

**Hands that provided**

We had no documents or any kind of information resources for the House of Sarang and we felt bad whenever we were asked for one over the years. Deaconess Uk Hee Lee and Decon Kyoung Won Lee have provided us with our first 4-page information pamphlet. We give our gratitude for them. And there is another resource. We were able to produce a 15 min video clip with a help of Won Duk Choi JDSN. It includes the history of the House of Sarang and an interview with the director Kim explaining about the ministry. We hope you be able to use them well.

**Names on the window frames...**

We are in the last phase of completion of the Choo Eun Hye Free Medical Clinic which is due for opening in July. The company who was going to provide us with the window frames is going through tough time and will not be able to provide them for us. We turn to all the supporters and supporting churches for this. Each window frame costs US$150. We want to celebrate the prayers and supports of each one of you by engrave the name of the provider for each frame. We need total of 300 window frames.

**People of God building together a place of God?*

We give our thanks and praise to God for the past 10 wonderful years of the House of Sarang. As we have built this place without a major
supporting body but with the help and love of all kinds of people from
all over the place, we hope to see many more people of God to participate in this ministry of God. Those who supports with resources, those who give their time and sweat at the site, those who send or carry the materials to the site, those who stay with the House of Sarang in their prayers and hearts, these are the important children of God in our ministry. There is a form included with this letter, it is an application form for Intercessory Prayer Missionary. Please invite your children and your neighbors to get involved in this ministry.

**Pray for us**

1. For the Physical and Spiritual well being of 54 children in the
House of Sarang (Won Hak Ahn-applying for college in July, Gil Bong-eye surgery)

2. The opening of the Choo Eun Hye Free Medical Clinic on July 12th
and its administrative permit from the local authority.

3. For the safety of all the construction schedules for this year.

4. For the physical and spiritual well being of all the staff on
site.
